Hello and welcome to the Unrayed January Digest, where it's a new year and new Unrayed OS. I'm your host, stefano Partito. Unrayed 6.12.7, release Candidate 1 offers fixes for edge case network issues, docker containers and virtual machines. There's also improvements to smart attribute handling for NVMe and SSD drives. That's a particular update I'm looking forward to when it becomes available in the official release later on. Unrayed is excited to announce improvements to their update OS plugin that's available today through their Unrayed Connect plugin. This tool aims to improve the process of upgrading and downgrading the operating system. That makes it more user-friendly and efficient. There's also a blog post available that you can read that describes this entire process and also has videos to show you how to go through the upgrading and downgrading process, so be sure to check that out. This feature will be coming soon to all users in an upcoming Unrayed OS stable release.

Remember the time the Next Cloud team invited Ed from the Uncast show over to Berlin to talk about Next Cloud Hub 7? That content is available on YouTube and all major podcast platforms. Be sure to give it a watch or listen to find out about lesser known features of Hub 7. I'm starting to understand why updates and new features are so few and far between to the Unrayed OS. Maybe that's because the Unrayed team was recently caught at the beach in Southern California hanging out where they were allegedly planning for things to come in the future for their company. I wonder how many two-week delays there were for them to finally meet up at the beach.

Storageviewcom tested the new AMD Ryzen 8700G and an HL15 server chassis from 45 HomeLab that was running the Unrayed operating system. Definitely check out the review and video of their findings. Links are available in the description below. Finally, let's put the spotlight on some community content available on YouTube from Nova Spirit Tech, where they check out Unrayed for the very first time, also shining the light. On Alien Tech 42, where they guide beginners on setting up Plex within Unrayed. The Unrayed team hopes that we're all refreshed from the holidays and excited for the things that they have planned for us that are coming in the future. Thanks for watching, cheers.
